Tour Overview

The only sightseeing tour of Portland that includes a full city tour and a trip to THREE lighthouses!

You’ll get a full city tour of Portland, from the bustling downtown area with its eclectic shops and businesses, to the Arts District and the Old Port with its world class restaurants and bars, to the brownstones and Victorian architecture of residential neighborhoods, and the mansions that line the Eastern Promenade. We’ll see lobstermen working on the waterfront, and we’ll see beautiful ocean vistas that offer endless views of Casco Bay and its islands and forts. Along the way you’ll hear stories and interesting facts that have shaped Portland into one of the most historic cities in the nation! Then we’ll drive across the harbor (pronounced hah-bah) to visit the most iconic (and most photographed) lighthouse in country, Portland Head Light. You’ll be let off here for 20 minutes to explore and take some photos. On the way back to Portland we will also visit two other lighthouses, Spring Point Light and Bug Light! On the way to these lighthouses you’ll get an up close view of Fort Preble (one of the oldest forts in Casco Bay), you’ll see a memorial to Liberty Ships that were built during WWII, and you’ll be taken to the spot that offers the BEST panoramic view of Portland!

An authentic tour, from a REAL local's perspective.

Whether you are a new visitor looking for a thorough overview of what places to visit and recommendations for food and drink in "America's Foodiest Small Town," or you are a local who wants to learn the real history of this eclectic city, the personalized nature of The Real Portland Tour allows for a thorough and accommodating tour to meet the needs of all interests!
